After gaining my MSc in the Sociology of Sport from Leicester University - CRSS in which I researched motorsport I was left fired up. I found an outlet by writing but didn't know whether there would be an audience for my witterings, but there was. I soon learnt that motorsport fans, whether casual or die hard, were actively seeking articles and insights that were more than mere factual reports or biased editorial. Since then I written on every part of the motorsport's spectrum from go-karting to Formula One. Whether light hearted pieces or more serious in-depth articles drawing on my sociological background, the chance to communicate was amazing and fulfilling and so that is how I found myself as a freelance writer.

I am also eager to encourage youngsters to learn from and be inspired by the sport, so my proudest moment was undoubtedly the publication of my children's book 'You Can Make It In Formula One'.

I am currently a freelance correspondant for BBCi Derby. One important aspect of this is covering the Download Festival and Bloodstock Open Air music events.

I have reproduced a number of motorsport related articles from 2000-2003 in my article archive and provided a section which links to my 2004/05 articles which are available online. I retain the copyright for the majority of my pieces for information on reproduction or syndication please email me direct.
